Assembly

The Room Eight Sparkly Destroyers ran the  school assembly on Friday the 27th of March 2015. Each and every member of Room 8 had an important role within the assembly, either speaking in front of the audience or designing props.

The key message of our assembly was 'bullying'.  As a class we believe that bullying can take place in many different ways.  We tried to connect our audience to a recent episode of 'The X Factor' where two judges (Natalia Kills and Willie Moon) verbally bullied Joe Irvine.  Verbal bullying can be equally as damaging as physical bullying for victims.

The whole class pulled together to perform an amazing assembly in front of the whole school!

Room 8 put on an X Factor performance.  Willie (Liam) and Natalia (Mackenzie) used their words to 'bully' and undervalue the performance that Room 8 put on.  Room 8 were using this skit to get the message of bullying across.  Bullying is NOT OK and it can come in many different forms (verbal, physical, cyber etc)

The Room 8 performance was a song by The Script called 'Superheroes'.  We even had real superheroes on stage!
